Student Engagement Through Video Production

About the Course
Do you find increasingly larger class sizes make it difficult to differentiate and help meet the needs of individual students? Do you want a way to incorporate all voices in your classroom? In this class educators will
- Choose a video platform to implement with students;
- Create a plan for students to create videos within units of study;
- Create a space to house student made videos;
- Create structures for peer feedback.
This course is appropriate for elementary, middle, and high school educators in every subject area. Educator librarians, instructional coaches, and administrators are invited to join as well.
Student Learning Outcomes:
- Identify how to incorporate student videos into the structure of your class and/or website.
- Form a learning environment for students to create videos that will be critiqued by their peers as well as the teacher.
- Have students develop meaningful videos that meet their developmental needs.

Excellent course! I was a little hesitant about using more technology in the classroom, but this course has helped me to see that it isn't that scary. The instructor is great - very organized and available when you have questions. I'm looking forward to using more video in my classes now!

This course was well organized and provided ample opportunity for learning video platforms while creating them. The best way to learn is to do it yourself and have a knowledgeable resource an email away.

This was a very helpful class as far as getting acquainted with imovie and we video. I definitely have come away with great ideas and ways to create my own videos for instruction.
