Mindfulness for Educators
About the Course
This program is a holistic training for educators and members of the learning community. The sessions and materials help deliver yoga and mindfulness essentials to beginners and experienced practitioners. While participants are always welcome to delve deeper into any of the areas we cover, we aim to deliver a sampling of different styles of yoga and meditation so that students can experience some of the options available to them while creating a long relationship with yoga, meditation, self-care and mindfulness.
The course will cover the topics of mindfulness for both students and educators, the application of the breath in a mindfulness and meditation practice, meditation- the how to’s and benefits and how to use these tools for self and students.
The course will also cover techniques to calm and energize the body and well and brain breaks and stretches for the classroom.
