Executive Functioning Skills in Children and Adolescents

About the Course
Executive functioning skills describe a person's ability to organize our behavior. Through the use of these skills, we can plan and organize activities, sustain attention, and persist to complete a task. Many students struggle with these skills and require additional support to help develop these skills. This course will look at interventions that can be used in the classroom to support students with the development of these executive functioning skills. This course appeals to teachers, administrators, and support staff at all levels (K-12).

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Describe the 10 executive functioning skills that exist and the role that these skills play instudent learning
- Design interventions and modifications to best support student acquisition of theexecutive functioning skills.
- Evaluate student data to create and adjust intervention plans to best meet the needs of students.
