Racial Justice in Your Local Union

About the Course
In this series of trainings specific to members of the Denver Classroom Teachers' Association, educators will embark on a transformative webinar series based on transformational learning principles and includes information on:
- Implicit bias and de-biasing activities,
- Defining antiracism and strategies for the workplace,
- Equity in education and
- The History of Racism in Unions.
Issues of implicit bias and bias are explicitly addressed, using a racial equity lens. This journey towards racial equity begins with self-awareness. Once biases are recognized, de-biasing activities can take place. This training will delve into racial injustice in education and in unions. Evidence-based practices are most effective when participants are aware of implicit and explicit bias and work DAILY to reflect, act, and grow.
