Project-Based Learning and Beyond
About the Course
Have you wondered what it would be like to have 100% of your students fully engaged in your class? Where students are asking each other questions about a subject that are in-depth and reflective? Where you are the facilitator in your class and your students are teaching each other? This is a class where you can have some fun working with teachers from across Colorado to collabroatively design PBL activities. In this course, we will address these issues and move beyond the concept of the project into the application of Project-Based Learning (PBL). During this course, teachers will be able to effectively use technology and be able to align to Common Core in PBL. Teachers will collaboratively design their own PBL lessons for their classroom and be able to align these lessons to other content areas.
Project-Based Learning and Beyond
After completing this class, students will be able to:
- Differentiate between Projects and Project Based Learning.
- Create PBL’s using existing “projects."
- Design PBL’s that incorporate Common Core Standards.
- Implement technology into PBL.
- Integrate 21st century skills into PBL.
