Instructional Strategies for English Language Learners in Secondary Education

About the Course
Educators will actively participate in online learning to enhance their understanding of working with English Language Learners. They will understand how to create differentiated content that will provide the foundation necessary to grow their student’s English proficiency along with enhancing their mastery of the curriculum.
This course is appropriate for secondary education teachers who have limited to no experience in content differentiation for ELLs. Teacher librarians, instructional coaches, and administrators are invited to join us.
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Develop and implement effective instructional strategies that enhance language development and content mastery.
- Purposefully design content that takes language and academic abilities into account.
- Teach language and literacy across content areas.
