Google Classroom Basics
About the Course
Teachers will engage in online learning to initiate and/or continue to develop their basic understanding of Google Classroom. The focus will be on skills that will enable teachers to create, distribute, and grade assignments and formative assessments. Teachers will investigate integrating curriculum, and other resources into their announcements, assignments, formative assessments, and the utilization of the “Share to Classroom” Chrome extension.
This class has been designed for teachers new to Google Classroom. If you are an experienced Google Classroom user, we suggest looking at taking the Google Classroom Practice Sets or Google Level I/II Certification courses.

- Create a Google Classroom, modify settings, and distribute the classroom code.
- Utilize Google Stream to create announcements and pose questions.
- Utilize Google Calendar to keep student deadlines organized.
- Utilize Google Classwork to build assignments, quizzes (Forms), and materials.
- Develop skills to provide feedback and grade assignments.
- Develop skills to import and manually modify grades into Gradebook.
