About the Course

Teachers will learn new techniques within the ever changing world (post pandemic) on how to leverage positive relationships with students, colleagues and the community.. Each week will be built upon the next, starting with ways to increase relationships within the classroom with students, then best ways to collaborate with colleagues and new ways to partner with parents.  There will be exciting ideas for Daily Morning Meetings, intriguing ways to collaborate with colleagues about students and effective ways to connect with families in the community.  We will also read sections of the book, “Relationship, Responsibility, and Regulation: Trauma-Invested Practices for Fostering Resilient Learners”  by Kristin Van Marter Souers.

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Gather, analyze and organize information to enhance social emotional health of students and your classroom community.
  • Develop and enhance ways of communication and enrich them for student success.
  • Create a plan using engaging daily routines, protocols that enrich collaborative learning with colleagues and ways to enhance communication with parents as partners.
