About the Course

This course is designed to provide educators with the confidence and understanding of how to create and deliver a gamified learning environment. This course partners with Edpuzzle to train educators on 1) why teachers should gamify, 2) elements of gamification, 3) examples of gamified classroom, and 4) tools to create gamification.  Along with the activities completed in this course, you will be able to walk away with a unit plan filled with elements of gamification.

Upon completing the Edpuzzle modules, you will receive a digital certificate and badge from Edpuzzle.  The Edpuzzle: Gamification in Class certificate and badge can be added to your resume, website, school credential, or other professional network.

Teachers will actively participate in online learning to further develop their understanding of how to engage students using educational gamification theory and how to build activities that will motivate your students to keep learning.  This course is appropriate for all educators who are interested in incorporating tech tools into their educational toolboxes.

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Identify and explain the merits and benefits of gamification in the learning environment.
  • Implement a variety of gamification tools (including digital badges, formative practices, edpuzzle videos) into their own classroom.
  • Develop two artifacts exemplifying gamification using Edpuzzle.
  • Ddentify a variety of Edpuzzle videos that will assist in gamifying the learning content.
