Creating Concrete Classroom Management Strategies

About the Course
Teachers and administrators have heard the words classroom management since their first days of teacher school. You maybe even had to write a formal “plan” to pass your first “Be A Good Teacher 101” class. What does that look for you now that you’ve been teaching and you see the real struggles that exist within the classroom? In this class, you will explore discipline and classroom management. We will look at successful classroom management and build a personal classroom plan where you can really identify goals, tier consequences, make productive rules, respond to positive behavior, and lead with consistency.
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Distinguish between classroom management and discipline.
- Explain the why and how of classroom management, including tiers of consequences for both negative and positive behaviors.
- Establish their own classroom management plan that meets the needs of their current learning environment.
