- Analyze the correlation between teaching content and teaching literacy strategies to improve student achievement.
- Develop and examine reading programs and strategies to encourage and increase student achievement in literacy and content.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of Title II incentives throughout Colorado school districts.
- Research Colorado State Social Studies standards and create lesson plans to improve content knowledge and literacy.
- Develop lesson plans to further engage marginalized populations in literacy instruction.
- Demonstrate application of literacy instructional strategies in lesson plans and assignments regarding writing.
- Establish and demonstrate leadership in the school, the community, and the teaching profession with the engagement of state legislators.
