About the Course

This course delves into the design principles and practical application of creating educational gallery walks. Gallery walks are dynamic instructional strategies that engage learners through immersive and interactive experiences. Through a combination of theoretical discussions, hands-on activities, and real-world projects, students will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to design and implement effective gallery walks in various educational settings.

Throughout the course, students will explore topics such as selecting relevant themes and topics, curating materials and artifacts, designing interactive elements, and assessing learning outcomes. Emphasis will be placed on aligning gallery walks with curriculum goals, promoting critical thinking, and fostering deep understanding among participants.

By the end of the course, students will have developed a comprehensive understanding of the gallery walk approach and its potential to enhance teaching and learning. They will also have practical experience in creating their own gallery walks, ready to implement them in their respective educational contexts.

This course is suitable for grades 3-12.

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Evaluate various methods for selecting and curating content, materials, and artifacts to effectively communicate themes and concepts within educational gallery walks.
