About the Course

Social skills are so important to have to be able to interact with others. Unfortunately, as a culture with the introduction of social media, we have been losing this skill. This course will introduce skills that can be used with students, and to try yourself! Helping our students be able to interact with each other will carry through their lives and help them to be more successful.

This course is appropriate for all professionals who work with students in any capacity.

Upon completion of this course, the learner will be able to:

  • Identify, assess, and differentiate, situations that students can benefit from bettering their social skills.
  • Develop and create safer inclusive classrooms and schools.
  • Understand and implement a safe environment for students to develop better social skills.

This class is great and I enjoyed learning about social skills. The instructor uses engaging lessons that are helpful as well as amusing clips, so it is a nice change of pace and it feels fresh. I've found that this class helps me both in the classroom and well beyond. It's helped me start conversations with interesting people that I may have been unable to talk to before, seriously.
