About the Course

Teachers will actively participate in online learning to develop their understanding of resources and benefits available to new parents in the State of Colorado. Topics include FMLA, FAMLI, Insurance, Paperwork, and Child Care.

This course is appropriate for all teachers interested but is aimed specifically toward those who are also expecting parents.

STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES: 

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Identify federal, state, and district resources available to new parents.
  • Articulate how they might utilize resources in conjunction with benefits.
  • Develop a personal plan that fits the needs of their family.
