Reviews

Emily Hansen
This course was so beneficial to taking my teaching of multi-language learners to the next level. One of my biggest takeaways from this course is that teaching multilingual learners is not about making content easier, but about making it comprehensible through intentional scaffolds, language supports, and structured opportunities for interaction. I feel inspired to take my love and admiration for my students to the next level by elevating their diverse backgrounds and using those experiences to fuel thinking and learning in our classroom community. I now see more clearly that I am not just teaching content but that I am teaching students how to use language to think, process, and demonstrate understanding.

This course provided valuable and relevant strategies for supporting multilingual learners, especially in areas such as scaffolding, language development, and culturally responsive teaching. While the content was strong, the workload was sometimes challenging to manage alongside full-time teaching. Overall, it was a very beneficial course that positively impacted my instructional practice.
