          About the Course
This course provides an in-depth exploration of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process. Each week covers a critical section of the IEP, focusing on legal guidelines, best practices, and practical strategies for educators. By the end of the course, participants will have the skills to develop, implement, and evaluate effective IEPs to support students with disabilities.
Teachers will actively participate in online learning to further develop their understanding of The Special Education Program - IEP. This course is appropriate for all general education teachers, special education teachers, instructional coaches, and administrators you are invited to join us.
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Explain the purpose and legal basis of IEPs under IDEA.
- Identify the components of an IEP and the role of each team member.
- Develop measurable IEP goals and implement accommodations/modifications.
- Explain collaborative strategies for working with families and teams.
- Apply IEPs to classroom instruction and progress monitoring.
- Confidently participate in IEP meetings and advocate for student needs.
