About the Course
Teachers will actively participate in online learning to further develop their understanding of best practices for inclusion in the general education setting. Teachers will learn how to implement practical strategies to modify and adapt curriculum and activities to include all learners.
This course is appropriate for general education teachers at any grade level who are looking to improve their understanding of how to best serve students with special needs in their classrooms.

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Analyze the history and understand the importance of inclusion in general education settings.
- Support diverse learners in the classroom through instructional strategies and accommodations.
- Make curriculum achievable through modifications when appropriate.
- Implement best practices and specific strategies for improving student comprehension, analysis, and knowledge utilization.
- Use outside resources to improve your knowledge of specific strategies for accommodations and modifications and how to implement them in your future instruction.
