About the Course

The Visual Literacy Class is designed to explore the significance of visual literacy in education. Participants will engage in various assignments that encourage them to reflect on their identities through images, examine the cognitive science behind visual processing, and understand the role of visual literacy in enhancing student engagement and critical thinking. The course consists of five modules, each focusing on different aspects of visual literacy, from its definition and historical context to practical strategies for teaching it effectively. Participants will also collaborate through discussion posts, case studies, and evaluations, providing a comprehensive understanding of how visual literacy can be integrated into their teaching practices.
