About the Course

This course equips educators with research-based strategies and tools to effectively support Multilingual Language Learners (MLLs) across content areas. Teachers will explore the unique assets and challenges MLLs bring to the classroom and learn how to design instruction that promotes both language development and academic achievement.

By the end of this course, teachers will be able to:

  • Analyze and explain the strengths and needs of MLLs.
  • Apply research-based instructional strategies to promote language development and academic achievement.
  • Design inclusive lessons that integrate language and content learning.
  • Use formative assessments to support language acquisition and content mastery.
