Prodigy Math is designed for students in 1st-8th grade with over 1,5000 teacher-made skills. In Prodigy Math, students are wizards engaged in epic math battles. This is a number one fan-favorite website that your students will love! You won’t want to miss this class!
Prodigy also offers English for grades 1st - 6th grade and we will toggle back and forth to learn about the ELA side as well. In Prodigy English, students collect and harvest resources to build their very own world!

In this course, teachers will actively participate in online learning to explore how to use Prodigy Math, a powerful tool to enhance student engagement in math as well as inform teaching practices. Participants will explore what Prodigy offers, how it works and then learn how to create their own assignments, assessment, challenges, quizzes, and more. Participants will envision how to implement prodigy in their classroom as a supplemental resource to boost math achievement, engagement, and reinforce learning from their curriculum.
This course is applicable for anyone who teaches math in grades 1st-8th grade.
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Create and set up a teacher’s account using Prodigy and devise a plan for its implementation during the school year.
- Create and assign placement tests, quizzes, and assignments in both Prodigy Math and ELA.
- Understand how to access and analyze Prodidy’s reports to inform teaching practices.
- Explore how to leverage the test prep tools to increase student achievement.
- Utilize the teacher-created resource center to support instruction
- Increase engagement for students in math and ELA, as well as support school-to-home connections with families.
