About the Course
How can developing models of trust in our school systems lead to better outcomes for our students and renewed purpose for our educators? Find out in this book study where you will actively learn about the trust-based educational system about which Finland boasts and create a trust-based plan for your own learning communities.
This course is appropriate for all educational professionals at any grade level. Teacher librarians, instructional coaches, and administrators are also invited to join us; they will be asked to work on a planning template in a discipline of their choice.

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Identify key components of a trust-based educational system.
- Analyze the differences between their current system’s levels of trust juxtaposed against that of the system described in the book.
- Reflect over how “free within a framework”(In Teachers We Trust, 2021) can be leveraged to support student growth.
- Create a plan to increase trust in your system using one of the seven principles laid out in the book.
