About the Course

Educators will actively participate in online learning to further develop their understanding of why building rapport and connections with students, colleagues and families is so important and valuable in an educational setting. The focus will be on the four pillars of rapport: empathy, authenticity, similarity and mutual respect. This course is appropriate for all educators.

Required Text:

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Identify and define the four pillars of rapport.
  • Develop reasons why rapport matters in the teacher's classroom or realm of education.
  • Identify and apply the 10 steps to developing rapport and explain how these would be used with students, colleagues or families in the school setting.
