About the Course
This eight-week book study explores The EPIC IEP by Karen Mayer Cunningham, it is designed for special education teachers, general education teachers and related services providers who want to deepen their understanding of the IEP process and their collaborative role within it. Through reflection, discussion and practical application participants will strengthen their ability to collaborate effectively, write aligned and individualized plans and implement IEP's in ways that directly impact student growth in the classroom.

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Identify the essential components of effective IEP development
- Develop meaningful and data-driven Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance (PLAAFPs)
- Develop measurable, standards-aligned annual goals
- Align accommodations and modifications to student needs
- Ensure compliance with IDEA while prioritizing student growth
- Facilitate collaborative, student-centered IEP meetings
- Develop progress monitoring and documentation practices
