Skills Students Actually Need in a Post-AI World
About the Course
Artificial Intelligence has rapidly transformed how students read, write, think, and solve problems. While AI tools can enhance learning, they have also contributed to a growing loss of essential academic and cognitive skills. Many educators are observing decreased student perseverance, weakened critical thinking, shallow comprehension, limited originality, and increased dependence on technology to complete basic tasks. This course is designed to combat that loss.
Through a highly practical, classroom-centered approach, educators will learn how to reclaim essential skills by redesigning instruction to strengthen critical thinking, creativity, communication, collaboration, adaptability, and independent problem-solving.
Each week includes targeted readings, guided instruction, structured discussion, and intentional creation-based assignments tied directly to real classroom practice. By the end of the course, participants will leave with a personalized Future-Ready Classroom Toolkit ready for immediate implementation.
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Identify skills students are losing due to AI reliance.
- Redesign assignments to reduce AI shortcuts.
- Strengthen student independence and critical thinking.
- Create creative and collaborative learning experiences.
- Build a Future-Ready Classroom Toolkit.
