About the Course

As an educator with at least five years of experience, you have already honed your craft, developed your teaching style, and navigated the challenges of the classroom. The Experienced Teacher course is designed to support you in building upon your strong foundation.  You will take a look at reflection, mentorship, leadership, teaching philosophy and growth, student centered teaching versus teacher driven lessons, classroom management and culture, teacher professional development and avoiding burnout by keeping the spark alive and well in your teaching!

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Apply advanced reflective practices to improve teaching effectiveness.
  • Take on leadership roles within their school or district, supporting colleagues and advocating for change.
  • Integrate the latest research on learning and classroom management to create more engaging and effective lesson plans.
  • Foster a positive classroom culture that supports diverse student needs and encourages emotional growth.
  • Navigate the complexities of teacher burnout and maintain a sustainable, balanced career.
