About the Course

This course is designed for educators who want to effectively integrate Artificial Intelligence into their classrooms to enhance student learning and engagement. As educators, we can teach students how to prompt AI in a way that develops their understanding of any topic.  In these lessons, the teacher becomes a coach in the classroom who is helping students to navigate the world of AI learning and making sure topics are fully explained in a way that students understand.

Built on the belief that AI is an essential skill for both educators and students, the course explores how AI can foster more student-centered, inquiry-driven learning environments. Teachers will develop practical strategies for helping students use AI responsibly to ask better questions, deepen their understanding of content, and become more independent learners. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped to leverage AI as a powerful tool that expands learning opportunities while allowing them to focus more on meaningful instruction and student relationships.

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Analyze the role of Artificial Intelligence in modern education and explain how AI can support student-centered, inquiry-based learning environments.
  • Design effective AI prompting strategies that help students deepen content understanding, develop critical thinking skills, and become more independent learners.
  • Evaluate ethical and responsible uses of AI in the classroom, including considerations related to accuracy, bias, academic integrity, and digital citizenship.
  • Create instructional activities and lesson plans that integrate AI tools to enhance student engagement, personalize learning, and improve educational outcomes.
