Teaching can be challenging. If you are feeling like you are pushing boulders uphill every single day, you might be ready for a Classroom Reset. This course is a six-week asynchronous course built around Dan Heath’s Reset: How to Change What's Not Working as well as assorted videos, discussions, journal entries, and assignments. Teachers will identify areas where they are feeling stuck, their boulders. Then they will spend the next six weeks using different strategies and reflection to identify leverage points and restack existing resources to make meaningful changes in their classrooms. Teachers will finish the course with a Classroom Reset Plan that is realistic and built for their classroom and context. Join this course to get unstuck and make changes in your classroom.

Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:

• Analyze classroom systems to identify recurring patterns, constraints, and leverage points that are driving the results they are currently getting.
• Apply Dan Heath's Reset framework to find leverage points and restack resources. Including, by designing and implementing realistic, low-cost experiments that create meaningful progress.
• Examine existing classroom routines, habits, and resource allocation through the recycling of waste. Make intentional decisions about what to stop, start, do less of, and do more of in order to focus energy where it needs to be.
• Use evidence from personal classroom observations, bright spot analysis, system mapping, and student motivation to build a Classroom Reset Plan that is actionable and sustainable within their current context and constraints.
• Reflect on their growth as a practitioner throughout the course and communicate key insights from the Reset framework to colleagues, contributing to a culture of continuous, teacher-driven improvement within their school community.
