This 8-week course is based on the book The ELL Teacher's Toolbox 2.0. The course will provide participants with practical strategies to help multilingual learners develop their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Participants will explore engaging activities that are easy to implement and require little to no prep time. Through reflection, application activities, lesson design, educators will build a practical toolbox of strategies they can use immediately to improve outcomes for multilingual learners. 

This course is appropriate for k-12 teachers.  Teacher librarians, instructional coaches, and administrators are invited to join us.

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

• Analyze and apply evidence-based instructional strategies from The ELL Teacher's Toolbox 2.0 to support multilingual learners' development in four domains: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
• Design engaging, low-prep lessons and activities that promote language acquisition while supporting grade-level academic content.
• Implement scaffolding techniques and differentiation strategies that increase access, participation, and achievement for English Language Learners with varying proficiency levels.
• Evaluate classroom practices and learning environments to identify opportunities for increasing language development, student engagement, and equitable access to instruction.
• Create a “Top 10” list of strategies to enhance language growth and academic success for multilingual learners.
