About the Course

In this course, teachers will actively participate in online learning to develop advanced Google Sheets skills that improve organization, automate repetitive tasks, analyze student data, and create interactive classroom resources. Participants will move beyond basic spreadsheets by learning powerful formulas, functions, data visualization tools, automation techniques, and the newest Google Sheets features, including tables, functions, and Gemini AI.

Throughout the course, participants will create a variety of classroom-ready spreadsheets that support planning, assessment, progress monitoring, intervention, and instructional decision-making. By the end of the course, participants will design and build a comprehensive Google Sheets system that can immediately be implemented in their professional practice.

This course is appropriate for all K–12 educators.

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Design organized, efficient, and user-friendly Google Sheets using modern formatting and organizational tools.
  • Apply advanced formulas and functions to automate calculations, organize information, and streamline classroom workflows.
  • Analyze and visualize data using charts, Pivot Tables, dashboards, and other Google Sheets tools to support instructional decision-making.
  • Utilize Google Forms, automation features, and connected spreadsheets to collect, organize, and analyze classroom data efficiently.
  • Evaluate and implement new Google Sheets features, including AI-powered tools, to improve productivity and support teaching and learning.
  • Develop a comprehensive Google Sheets project that demonstrates advanced spreadsheet skills while solving an authentic classroom or school need.
