Ellen Angeles

Ellen Angeles is an ELD Specialist with Montrose County School District who has helped English Languages learners from kindergarten to adult learners focusing on the families as a whole. Ellen collaborates in Algebra, Geometry, Biology, and English so that teachers have strategies to reach all struggling students. After working in banking and sales for a dozen years, she found a home in the family business of education. A happy accident led her to find her husband and a teaching job at Colorado Mountain College in Leadville. Ellen understand that no one cares what you know until they know that you care. She loves seeing students make growth and learning for her colleagues.

Ellen believes that all teachers deserve the tools to best serve a diverse group of students. For 15 years she has been a member of CoTesol and advocated for students and their families. She has taken a number of COpilot classes and looks forwards to helping other teachers improve their game.

Ellen holds a BA in Mediation and Criminal Justice from Kent State University, received her teaching certificate from Western State Colorado University, and a MA in ESOL from Mesa State University.
