Kim Knol

Kim Knol, Coordinator of the MTSS program at Aspen Elementary School, has worked in public education for 29 years in Denver (DPS) and Aspen, Colorado, as well as in Broward County, Florida. Kim believes in collective leadership among staff and students, building purpose when balanced with courage and compassion. She strives to provide an environment where students can discover their true passions. Kim is trained in Adaptive Schools, Our Community Listens, and The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People-all of which have influenced her desire to empower others.

Kim holds a BS in Elementary Education from Florida Atlantic University and an MS degree in Teacher Leadership from Walden University. She is also a National Board Certified teacher in early/middle childhood literacy. Kim added the ELL endorsement to her Florida teaching certificate in 1995 and she has the English Learner professional learning designation on her Colorado teaching license.

In addition to teaching English Learners in both Colorado and Florida, Kim has taught in the classroom for grades one, two, three, and four, and she has worked with students in grades K-12 as a Prevention Specialist for the Office of Safe & Drug-Free Schools. Kim embraces leadership opportunities presented to her at her current school, enjoying the challenges and new experiences every day.
