While the focus in title is "Engaging Students with Poverty in Mind", I found the techniques shown will work with any student. I did use ideas and suggestions from class the same week I was taking class.

I liked the book we read and the topics that were discussed. I appreciate the help I received from the instructor. I am not a fan of online classes, but this one was actually good and insightful. I appreciated everyone's comments and ideas on my forums. I liked the journal format as well. It was a nice reflection of what I have been doing and how I can change and engage and connect with my students living with poverty.

The book was insightful and the conversation amongst the class brought several new ideas to mind. I look forward to implementing what I learned.
