Bargaining Behaviors: Basics of Collective Bargaining

About the Course
This training is based on the NEA Mods 1 & 2 with updates. This training is designed for beginning and potential bargainers; if possible, your full bargaining team is encouraged to attend. Experienced bargainers will be an asset to their teams’ learning.
Understand and explore the power dynamics at work both at and away from the bargaining table and how to meaningfully engage rank and file members to win.

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Create a common knowledge and skills foundation concerning collective bargaining.
- Examine behaviors which will augment technical competencies and maximize effectiveness at the bargaining table.
- Broaden awareness of the inherent opportunities in bargaining situations for the creative management of the bargaining relationship, the issues, and consituent pressures.
