About the Course

Teachers will engage in online learning to initiate and/or continue to develop their basic understanding of Google Slides.  The focus will be on skills that will enable teachers to create, distribute, and collaborate with colleagues using Google Slides. Teachers will learn to work beyond standard templates, creating custom presentations to facilitate instruction that utilizes multiple media and presentation choices.

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Create a Google Slides presentation, using both existing software templates and creating custom master slides.
  • Explore presentation formatting options.
  • Integrate hyperlinks, images, tables, charts, and videos.
  • Add animation and transitions.
  • Collaborate, share, comment, assign tasks, and present.

I thought I knew a decent amount about Slides for someone who avoids making slides for my classes due to the time it takes, but I learned a lot more from this course. I highly recommend this course! It's a self-paced course so it works with your schedule within the 4 weeks which is great for anyone in education.

This class is presented well and doable with a family and full time teaching job. It is videos of how to make slides and then the assignments are making slides that fit into the learning from the video. It is not "live" but rather "self paced 5 minute videos." This is a perfect class for busy teachers wanting new ideas for Google Slides. Good use of limited time.
