About the Course

In this course, teachers will explore several different math routines that get students talking about math in a fun and non-intimidating way. These routines can be easily built into an already existing lesson plan because they only take 5-10 minutes. Help build consistency in your math classroom so students are using math reasoning skills and critical thinking without even realizing they’re doing math!  Participants will also connect math routines to the Standards for Mathematical Practices (SMP). This course is appropriate for all K-12 math teachers.

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Analyze math routine resources.
  • Design and implement math routines for their classroom.
  • Connect math routines to the Standards for Mathematical Practices (SMP).
