About the Course
In this course, teachers will explore how math games and puzzles can bring the fun back into learning (and teaching) mathematics! Through discussions, reflections and playing, participants will discover how incorporating math games and puzzles can help engage students in math in a non-intimidating way. Participants will also connect math games and puzzles to the Standards for Mathematical Practices (SMP). This course is appropriate for all K-12 math teachers.
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Analyze math game and puzzle resources.
- Implement math games and puzzles in their classroom.
- Connect math games and puzzles to the Standards for Mathematical Practices (SMP).
