Number Sense Routines

About the Course
Deep understanding of number sense is the foundation for developing math skills in young learners. The daily use of 5 to 15 minute exercises will help students build number sense. Participants in this book study will learn how easily number sense can be developed and about ways how to implement responsive number sense routines no matter what curriculum materials teachers use.

I teach Middle School remedial math. This gave me practical ideas that have made a different in my student's thinking of numbers and number sense. Great class!

When I taught secondary math, I saw so many kids struggling because they had such poorly developed number sense. Here is a course that all elementary teachers can take to help them better prepare the next generation. Great book, great class!

I really appreciate this book study. It helped me hone strategies for number talks and to identify explicit areas of growth for students. It provided structures for specific needs and clearly outlined how to create a safe community for math talks.
