About the Course
Teachers will actively participate in online learning throughout this course. This course’s goal is to reframe teachers thinking around differentiation in their classroom. This will be done by learning new, expansive, research-based strategies and applying their new knowledge to their upcoming lessons, and collaborating with peers.
This course is appropriate for elementary and secondary teachers. Teacher librarians, instructional coaches, and administrators are invited to join us; they will be asked to work on a planning template in a discipline of their choice.

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Identify differentiation strategy opportunities within their classroom
- Use a variety of differentiation strategies to support student learning
- Define the four cognitive processing styles
- Plan lessons that support all learners (all cognitive processing types)

This was a fantastic class. It was very well facilitated in a way that helps teachers implement the differentiation strategies into their classrooms. I feel like I have a toolbox of tools to take away and use at the start of the year. The workload for the class was manageable and able to fit into any schedule.
