About the Course
In this 8-week book study course we will be discovering the magic of "Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics, Grades K-12" by Peter Liljedahl. Participants will explore the 14 teaching practices aimed at fostering a thinking-centered approach to mathematics instruction. Through reading, reflection, discussions, and assignments, participants will gain insights and practical strategies to enhance their teaching practices and create a classroom environment that promotes student engagement, problem-solving skills, and mathematical thinking. This course is appropriate for all K-12 math teachers. Other content areas are welcome to join, but a majority of the resources are math related.

This class, and this book, are practice changing. Brittany is a great instructor and creates space for you to explore this book deeply. I can't recommend it highly enough. Do not take this class if you aren't interested in shifting your thinking about what best practices in teaching look like. It will rock your world.
